Legal AI was built for BigLaw.
We’re building it for everyone else.

Legal AI has a BigLaw problem
The first wave of legal AI was built for the AmLaw 100. $1,200/seat minimums, 20-lawyer floors, embedded consultants, six-figure annual contracts. Powerful tools, designed for firms with their own IT departments and innovation budgets.
That left out 650,000 attorneys. Solo practitioners, small firms, community practices. The lawyers who handle family law, criminal defense, personal injury, harassment, employment. The ones who serve real people, not corporate M&A.
These firms are already using AI. 72% of solo practitioners use it in some form. But they’re using consumer tools never designed for legal work, with no privilege protection, no audit trail, and no chain of custody.

Why we started
Before Intactus, our founder spent years helping independent medical practices adopt AI and stay competitive against hospital systems. Same pattern everywhere: powerful technology, locked behind enterprise pricing, inaccessible to the small practices that serve their communities.
Then a family harassment case made it personal. Navigating the legal system as a victim meant drowning in evidence collection, spending thousands on analysis a machine could do in minutes, and relying on consumer AI tools that no court would accept. The attorneys were good. The tools available to them were not.
Small firms don’t have IT departments. They don’t have litigation support teams. They need the same analytical power that BigLaw takes for granted, built into software they can actually use and afford.

What we’re building
Intactus is not a chatbot bolted onto a document viewer. It’s an AI operating system for law firms: a platform where AI agents work alongside attorneys as practitioners, capturing evidence, extracting facts, identifying entities, surfacing contradictions, and producing court-ready output.
Every document is SHA-256 hashed on ingest. Every AI action is logged and attributed. Every piece of analysis links back to its source. Attorney directs, agents execute, the audit trail proves the workflow.
Your data never trains AI models. Zero data retention. Contractual guarantee, not just a policy.

Who it’s for
The managing partner who still touches cases. The solo practitioner handling 30 matters at once. The family law attorney helping a client document years of abuse. The criminal defense lawyer building a timeline from a box of discovery.
Community-connected firms that need the analytical power of a litigation support department without the headcount or the enterprise price tag.

Built in Madison
We chose Madison because it reflects what we believe in. A city where the State Capitol sits at the center of the community, not behind a security perimeter. Where independent businesses line the square. The firms we build for are rooted in places like this. They know their clients by name. Intactus is built for them, and it always will be.
